About Us
Karen Carey
“Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.”
- Golda Meir
Karen was raised in a very small town in upstate New York. She was adventurous and was always begging her parents to move somewhere, anywhere, but to no avail. After graduating high school she moved to the city of Saratoga Springs, a whole eleven miles from where she grew up, and remained there for another thirty years. Karen owned and operated a salon, and taught customer service and small business management within the beauty industry in Europe and the US.
Karen has spent more than twenty years studying and practicing the many aspects of the mind, body, and spirit and has fallen in love with life coaching. She says, “life coaching is the most powerful thing I have ever done, both for myself and for my clients.”
Yes, she was eventually able to get out of her small town and see the world. For the past seven years, she has been traveling around the country with her husband Kevin. She wound up eventually settling in Seattle, where she is a Yoga teacher, a NIA instructor, TP counselor, a Reiki master, a nationally certified reflexologist, and a life and business coach.

Kevin Carey
” To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream, not only plan, but also believe.”
- Anatoli France
The convoluted serendipity of being born in Ireland, educated in England, and raised in both communities provided Kevin with a stimulating, challenging, and adventurous childhood. As a boisterous, relentlessly curious, and unconventional student, Kevin became an apprentice toolmaker at fifteen years of age.
Fortunately, he overcame this inauspicious beginning by amassing an impressive array of accomplishments as an adult. Among other things, he has been an accomplished master craftsman, an influential trade union leader, a successful trainer/coach, a respected supervisor/manager, and a national sailing instructor. He also happens to be an enthusiastic husband and exuberant dad.
He came to America to form a number of entrepreneurial computer, technology, and manufacturing companies, during which he became president/CEO of several international companies, a technical director, a writer/publisher, a seminar leader/public speaker, a team leader, a lecturer/instructor, and a coach/consultant.
Having had the good fortune to move many times in England, Europe, and America, Kevin believes in the power of starting over, the continuous opportunity for reinvention, and the joy of pursuing a fulfilling life.
